Think of these loaded burger bowls as a deconstructed version of your favorite burger and french fries! Simply top crisp lettuce with ground beef, roasted potatoes, your favorite burger toppings, and our homemade special sauce.
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Chop the potatoes into small cubes (about ½ inch) and place them in a large mixing bowl. Measure out the oil, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and salt and add them to the bowl. Mix well until the potatoes are evenly coated. Spread the potatoes into an even layer on the baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are soft and slightly crispy (you can leave them in the oven for longer if you want them to be crispier).
While the potatoes are baking, begin cooking the ground beef. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the meat to the pan. Break the meat into small pieces using a rubber spatula, stir frequently, and cook thoroughly until there are no pink spots. If there is a lot of excess grease, drain the grease or use paper towels to soak it up. Remove from the heat. Next, measure out the spices, add them to the meat, and mix until the meat is evenly coated with the spices. If you are finding it difficult to evenly coat the meat with the spices, you can add a tablespoon of water to help mix it in.
In a small bowl, measure out the ingredients for the homemade burger sauce and whisk until well combined. Set aside.
Prepare your burger bowl toppings. Chop the lettuce and red onion, halve the tomatoes, and prepare any other toppings you will be using.
Assemble the burger bowl by first creating a base of lettuce in the bottom of the bowl. Top with meat, potatoes, your favorite toppings, and the homemade burger sauce. Enjoy!
Notes
This recipe is gluten-free. It is dairy-free depending on the toppings you select. For a vegetarian or vegan option, you can break up a plant-based burger patty instead of ground beef.
