These cookie dough protein balls follow an easy recipe, use simple ingredients, and make for the perfect snack to have on hand as an on the go or pre-workout snack.
First start by adding the wet ingredients to a large mixing bowl. Add the nut butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
Next, add the dry ingredients: protein powder, oat flour, and salt and mix until well combined—it should have a consistency similar to raw cookie dough. Add the chocolate chips and mix until they are evenly incorporated throughout the dough.
Use a cookie scoop* or large spoon to form the balls. You can place each protein ball on a piece of parchment paper set on the counter or baking sheet. We like to gently press a few chocolate chips into the top of each protein ball. Enjoy!

This recipe is gluten-free, but we would recommend ensuring that the oats you use are certified gluten free oats. It is dairy-free and vegan with the use of dairy-free/vegan protein powder and chocolate chips. It is vegetarian.
