Make your own crispy air fryer pita chips with this recipe that uses three simple ingredients and takes less than 15 minutes to make! These homemade chips are a delicious snack that can be customized by using your favorite spices and favorite dips.
Cut the pita bread into 8 triangles (or 4 triangles if using a smaller pita).
Spray each side of the pita bread with non-stick spray or brush with oil. Sprinkle with sea salt.
Place the pita pieces into the air fryer basket and cook for about 6 minutes, tossing halfway through, until golden brown.
Notes
The cooking time can be adjusted for softer or crispier pita chips. If you like a chewier pita chip, simply reduce the amount of time you cook the pita chips (start with 4 minutes and go from there). If you want a crispier chip, you can try cooking them for 8 minutes, and increase the time until you have the desired result.
Use your favorite spices to mix up the flavor of these delicious air fryer pita chips. Here are a few ideas! Sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, za'atar, parsley, chili powder, etc. If you're looking for a sweet option, cinnamon sugar would be delicious!
You can also mix up the way you serve these pita chips by choosing your favorite dip. Some options include hummus, tzatziki, white bean dip, spinach artichoke dip, whipped feta dip, a layered Mediterranean dip, or a cheese ball. If you make cinnamon sugar pita chips, a great option is to serve it with our favorite fruit salsa!
We recommend storing the pita chips in an airtight container or ziplock bag at room temperature. We recommend eating them within 2-3 days for best results, however, they can keep for up to a week.
