These Hawaiian roll roast beef sliders are always a crowd favorite. You'll make a delicious and easy slider filled with roast beef and Swiss cheese along with an Au Jus dipping sauce for the perfect finishing touch.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 9x13 pan with parchment paper. Slice all of the Hawaiian Rolls in half with a sharp bread knife at once while still keeping the rolls connected. Lay the bottom layer of the rolls in the pan.
Evenly place the roast beef sliced on top of the rolls. Add the Swiss cheese on top. Place the top layer of the rolls on top.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt. Use a pastry brush to evenly brush the tops of the rolls with the mixture.
Cover the pan with aluminum foil. Bake for 10 minutes with the foil on and another 10 minutes with the foil off, or until the rolls are golden brown.
While the rolls are cooking, make the Au Jus dipping sauce. Place a medium saucepan on the stove over medium heat. Add the butter. When the butter is melted, add the flour, garlic powder, and onion powder and whisk the mixture together until well combined. Add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and continuously stir until the mixture comes to a boil. Let the sauce boil for 2 minutes and then remove from the heat. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the sliders warm with a side of the dipping sauce.
Notes
If you want to simplify the recipe further, you could leave out the au jus sauce or use an au jus gravy packet.Make it gluten-free: simply use gluten-free rolls and gluten-free flour for the Au Jus.
