Ingredient Notes
For the sliders
- Hawaiian Sweet Rolls - you can find these sweet Hawaiian rolls at most local grocery stores in the bakery section in an orange bag. You can also substitute them for another type of roll like a ciabatta rolls, slider buns, dinner rolls, or a gluten-free roll if you need.
- Thinly sliced roast beef - we prefer a lean, thin sliced roast beef cut fresh at the meat counter. You can also swap the roast beef with turkey or ham.
- Swiss cheese - feel free to use whatever cheese you prefer here like Swiss cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, havarti cheese, or provolone cheese.
- Butter, melted - you can also use olive oil.
- Worcestershire sauce - Worcestershire sauce is a unique flavor. You can substitute it with soy sauce or balsamic vinegar but the flavor will change slightly.
- Dijon mustard
- Onion powder & Garlic powder
- Salt
For the Au Jus dipping sauce
- Butter
- Flour - if you're making a gluten-free version with gluten-free rolls, you can use 1 to 1 gluten-free flour here.
- Garlic powder & onion powder
- Beef broth
- Worcestershire sauce
- Salt & pepper

Place the top layer of the rolls on top.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt. Use a pastry brush to evenly brush the tops of the rolls with the mixture.

While the rolls are cooking, make the au jus dipping sauce. Place a medium saucepan on the stove over medium heat. Add the butter. When the butter is melted, add the flour, garlic powder, and onion powder and whisk the mixture together until well combined. Add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and continuously stir until the mixture comes to a boil. Let the sauce boil for 2 minutes and then from the heat.
