Ingredient Notes
- Bare chicken nuggets - Bare chicken nuggets are lightly breaded chicken breast chunks that closely resemble Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets. They also have a spicy filet or nugget option available in some places. You can find these at several grocery stores and in bulk sizes at Costco and Sam's Club. Costco also has their own Kirkland version that would be a good option as well. We recommend cooking them in the air fryer to create tender chicken nuggets that are crispy on the outside. If you prefer grilled nuggets, you can always grill chicken instead and cut it into smaller pieces for the salad to resemble the grilled chicken nuggets. Another easy option would be to throw on a few pieces of chopped rotisserie chicken.
- Chopped romaine lettuce - you can chop your own romaine or buy a bag that is already pre-chopped. Feel free to swap for spinach, baby greens, or a spring mix if you prefer those over romaine.
- Hard-boiled eggs - check out this post if you need some help!
- Grape tomatoes - cherry tomatoes or diced tomatoes would also work.
- Corn kernels
- Bacon crumbles - we prefer to make our own bacon crumbles with fresh, crispy bacon! Feel free to swap for turkey bacon as well.
- Shredded cheese (optional) - Chick-fil-A uses a blend of Monterey jack and cheddar cheese on their Cobb salad, but feel free to use a different type of cheese. Cheddar cheeses, pepper jack, and blue cheese crumbles would all be great.
For the salad dressing:
- Avocado - creamy avocado takes this dressing to the next level!
- Water
- Ranch dressing - we recommend using the ranch dressing from Bolthouse Farms or Primal Kitchen.
- Dijon mustard
- Lime juice
- Salt
