Ingredient Notes
- Baby red potatoes - we like to use the baby/small red potatoes, but you can also use larger potatoes. They are often less expensive, but have to be cut into smaller pieces. One reason we like using delicious red potatoes for this recipe is because they have a thin skin that gets crispy more easily. You could also use another kind of potatoes for this simple recipe such as russet potatoes, yukon gold potatoes/yellow potatoes, or sweet potatoes—all will result in delicious potatoes!
- Olive oil or avocado oil
- Spices - you will need garlic powder, chili powder, paprika, and salt for this recipe.

Please note that the cooking time will vary based on the size of cut potatoes.
Tips & Variations
- Feel free to toss your potatoes with parmesan cheese during the last 5-10 minutes of cooking for some added flavor.
- You can cut the potatoes into a different shape than is shown here. You could cut them into french fries, disks, or red potato wedges instead.
- You can mix up the spices according to your preferences. Some options may include onion powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic salt, curry powder, or using fresh herbs and spices (such as fresh parsley, fresh rosemary, or fresh garlic). You can easily adjust to your favorite seasonings!
- If you have a smaller air fryer, you may need to cook the air fryer baby potatoes in two batches. The potatoes should cover the bottom of the air fryer basket in a single layer that isn't too thick to make sure the heat is evenly distributed so that you can get the best results with those crispy edges!
FAQ
We recommend storing leftover potatoes in an airtight container in the refrigerator. To reheat them, you can microwave them, but if you want them to remain crispy we would recommend reheating in the air fryer.
