- Mandarin oranges - we recommend using the canned fruit version of mandarin oranges since the segment membranes are removed making it easier to chew.
- Heavy cream - fresh whipped cream is a must for this recipe! It provides the best flavor and texture. For that reason we do not recommend using something like cool whip.

Step 1: Prepare the fruit. Cut the apples into chunks (no need to remove the peel), grapes into halves, strawberries into bite-sized pieces, and bananas into slices. Prepare the pomegranate (optional) and drain the mandarin oranges. Add the fruit to a large mixing bowl or serving bowl and gently mix together.

- 1-2 tablespoons pure maple syrup, depending on preference for sweetness
