Ingredient Notes
- Sesame oil - we love the flavor that the sesame oil provides for these lettuce wraps, but you can swap for another type of oil such as olive oil or avocado oil.
- Soy sauce - use tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free version.
- Honey - swap with maple syrup if desired.
- Ground pork - we prefer using lean ground pork for this recipe. However, if you aren't feeling a ground pork recipe you can easily swap for another ground meat filling. Ground chicken, ground beef, and ground turkey would all work.
- Ginger and garlic - we prefer using fresh ginger and garlic in this recipe.
- Lettuce - our favorite lettuce to use for lettuce wraps is butter lettuce, but you can select a different head of lettuce if desired such as iceberg lettuce, Boston Bibb lettuce, or romaine lettuce. Regardless of the kind of lettuce you use, it is often helpful to remove the outer leaves from fresh lettuce as they are easily damaged.
