Ingredient Notes

- Sausage - we like to use pre-cooked sausage for this recipe. We also prefer to use chicken sausage, but you can use regular pork sausage or turkey sausage as well. There are several flavors of sausage to choose from, so use your favorite! Italian sausage, chicken apple sausage, spicy sausage, etc.
- Bell peppers - any color bell pepper will work but we prefer to use a yellow, orange, or red bell pepper over green bell peppers.
- Zucchini - you can also use yellow squash or other summer veggies.
- Corn - you can use fresh, canned, or frozen corn for this recipe.

How to Make This Sausage and Vegetable Skillet

Step 1: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.

Step 2: In the same skillet, add bell peppers and zucchini. Sautรฉ for 4โ5 minutes until they begin to soften.

Step 3: Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring to avoid burning.

Step 4: Stir in the corn.

Step 5: Add the seasonings and stir well to coat everything evenly.

Step 6: Add the sausage back to the skillet.

Step 7: Stir until everything is combined.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon avocado or olive oil
- 16 ounces sausage, cut into ยฝ inch slices (we prefer to use chicken sausage)
- 2 bell peppers, thinly sliced
- 1 zucchini, sliced
- 1 cup corn (frozen, fresh, or canned)
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- ยพ teaspoon onion powder
- ยพ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ยพ teaspoon oregano
- ยฝ teaspoon salt
- ยฝ teaspoon black pepper
- ยฝ teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
