Ingredient Notes

- Rice Chex: Classic and light, but you can swap in corn Chex or wheat Chex for variety. If you're a fan of rice Chex, try our puppy chow (aka muddy buddies) recipe!
- Boom Chicka Pop Kettle Corn: Adds extra sweetness and crunch.
- Pretzels: Mini twists or sticks both work well.
- White chocolate chips: We highly recommend Ghirardelli white chocolate chips or melting wafers for the best melt and flavor. Quality matters since white chocolate is the main candy coating. You'll need the bag to be 10 ounces of chocolate.
- M&M candies: Use classic, holiday-colored, or seasonal varieties depending on the time of year.

Recipe Tips & Variations
- Don’t overheat the chocolate: White chocolate chips and melting wafers can seize if overheated. Stir frequently for best results.
- Use a double boiler: If you’re worried about burning the chocolate, a double boiler offers gentle, even heat.
- Make it festive: Add candy corn, holiday sprinkles, or seasonal M&Ms. It can be a festive Chex Christmas mix that’s perfect during Christmas time with Christmas M&Ms. It's also great for Valentine's Day, Easter, the Fourth of July and Halloween.
- Swap the cereal: Try wheat Chex or a mix of corn Chex and rice Chex.
- Add mix-ins: Mini marshmallows, crushed peppermint, or even more pretzels make this a fun blizzard mix variation.

Step 5: Once set, break the popcorn into clusters.

Step 6: Add the clusters to the bowl with the coated cereal and pretzels. Gently toss to combine.

Step 7: Spread the entire mixture back onto the parchment-lined sheet pan in an even layer. Let it harden at room temperature or chill briefly in the refrigerator until fully set.
